Built, Not Bought
The Illest Garage started in a single bay with a lift, a welder, and a stubborn belief that performance work should be done right — not just shipped out. What grew from that is a full-service shop handling everything from daily-driver maintenance to full custom builds and dyno tuning.
We don't just sell parts. We install them, tune them, and stand behind the work. Every car that leaves here is one we'd be proud to drive ourselves. That's the standard.
From the Garage Floor Up
Raised on the Track
As a young boy, the owner spent his weekends at the drag strip and track with his dad — a true car enthusiast who always dreamed of opening a shop of his own. Those early mornings, the smell of race fuel, and the roar of loud American muscle builds planted a seed that never left.
The '84 Camaro Z28
Together with his father, he built a 1984 Camaro Z28 from the ground up — full interior, engine, transmission, suspension, a custom paint job, and a full sound system. A ground-up father-and-son build that became the foundation of everything The Illest Garage stands for.
Trained Across the Board
He studied at UTI (NASCAR Tech), Gwinnett Technical College, and Fortis College — earning multiple degrees and certifications that cover everything from engine building and drivetrain to diagnostics and performance tuning.
Solo Motorsports & UUC Motorwerks
Before opening his own doors, the owner put in real time in the industry — working for Solo Motorsports and UUC Motorwerks building and servicing cars of every caliber. From street-driven daily builds to high-end performance machines, those shops sharpened his hands-on craft and taught him what it really takes to do this at a professional level.
Why "Illest"
"Illest" isn't just a word — it's a standard. In the culture, the 'illest' is the one who does it the cleanest, the baddest, the most dialed. The shop was named to hold every build to that bar — nothing leaves unless it's the illest version of itself.
The Doors Opened
In 2024, The Illest Garage officially opened its doors in Norcross, GA — turning years of passion, training, and industry experience into a shop of his own. What started as a kid in his dad's garage was finally a real, working performance destination.
Moved to Dallas, GA
In 2026, the shop moved to its current home in Dallas, GA — bigger space, more bays, and the same standard. The Illest Garage now serves the Dallas–Atlanta area with fabrication, tuning, and full-service builds.
